Children's Online Privacy Protection Notice

Last updated: March 19, 2026

JennyTalk, a product of Innolife Technologies LLC, is committed to protecting the privacy of children who use our platform. This notice explains our practices regarding the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

1. Parental & Guardian Consent Required

JennyTalk is designed for use by children with communication challenges, but only with the supervision and consent of a parent, legal guardian, educator, or authorized adult.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. During account registration, a parent or guardian must:

  • Confirm they are a parent, guardian, educator, or authorized adult
  • Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on behalf of the child
  • Provide their own contact email address for account communications

2. What Information We Collect

When an account is created for a child, we collect:

  • Parent or guardian's name and email address
  • Child's first name (optional, for personalization)
  • Communication phrases and vocabulary selected within the app
  • Basic usage data (features used, session frequency)

We do not collect:

  • Voice recordings or audio files
  • Photos, videos, or biometric data
  • Precise geolocation data
  • Social media profiles or third-party account information

3. How We Use the Information

The information we collect from children is used exclusively to:

  • Operate and provide the JennyTalk communication service
  • Personalize phrase libraries for the child's communication needs
  • Communicate with the parent or guardian about account status and support
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

We do not sell, rent, or share children's personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

JennyTalk uses ElevenLabs for text-to-speech audio generation. Only the text of phrases is transmitted to generate audio output — no personal identifiers are sent. ElevenLabs does not store or use phrase text beyond audio generation.

5. Parental Rights & Controls

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

  • Review the personal information we have collected about your child
  • Correct or update any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your child's personal information
  • Withdraw consent and discontinue your child's use of JennyTalk at any time
  • Restrict certain uses of your child's information

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@jennytalk.com with the subject line "COPPA Request."

6. Data Retention

We retain children's information only as long as the account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion or withdrawal of consent, we will delete all associated personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption and access controls to protect children's personal information. Access to child-related data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who require it to provide our services.
